This year, Mastercard made strides with two great inclusivity initiatives.

First there was Acceptance Street – the sign installation at Gay Street and Christopher Street in Manhattan during Pride month that added 10 street signs to recognize the entirety of the LGBTQIA+ community and emphasize the importance of supporting inclusiveness for all.

Then there was the announcement that Mastercard are producing True Name cards that will allow for chosen names to appear on the front of cards, helping to ease a major pain point for the transgender and non-binary community when their bank card doesn’t reflect their true identity.

These two actions by Mastercard showed that they were serious about creating meaningful connections and cultivating a culture of inclusion for their customers and the world.

To understand more about bringing these incredible initiatives to life and the lessons other brands can learn from them in order to be inclusive to all, Ketchum’s Mike Doyle, President, North America, sits down with Mastercard’s Jim Issokson, SVP of Communications and Social Media, for a fireside chat.
