Great creativity and storytelling remain as vitally important as ever in the face of – indeed, because of – the rapidly changing communications world. One of the most accomplished and creative storytellers of our times, Lynn Novick has worked in close partnership with pioneering filmmaker Ken Burns for nearly three decades to produce and direct for PBS some of the most groundbreaking documentaries of our times. From Baseball in 1994 to this fall’s landmark series, The Vietnam War, and throughout her career, Novick has helped create new standards for cultural impact in American television. Interviewed by Don Baer, Worldwide Chair and CEO of Burson-Marsteller, who serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of PBS, Novick will discuss her approach to creating and telling compelling stories from American history and how to apply the lessons she has learned to the fast-evolving communications landscape.
