The role of the CEO has changed dramatically over the past several years. A CEO’s job is no longer limited to balancing growth and innovation against financing and economic discipline. Today’s successful CEOs are statesmen. They are charged with managing employees, customers and investors, as well as diverse constituencies including NGOs, regulators and numerous other stakeholders who can impact the performance of a company. The panel will explore questions such as: What is an appropriate level of engagement with outside interests and how can a CEO become a policy leader and advocate for industry?
